| Introduction | Hello everyone. I've been a sports fan all my life, which is why I decided to become a sports writer and am now the assistant sports editor at the Poughkeepsie Journal. I've been covering local high school, college and pro sports in the region for over 20 years. I grew up in the Bronx, playing baseball and football on the city streets with a dream of one day playing for the New York Yankees. I also attended doubleheaders on Sundays at the old Yankee Stadium (yes, doubleheaders were frequent in those days and ticket prices were much cheaper). |
