Introduction	I'm a Christian, a wife, a mother, mother-in-law, a grandmother, a daughter, daughter-in-law, sister, sister-in-law, friend, foreign exchange host mom...wow - how many roles we play! Although I went to church from a very young age, it was not until I was 19 that I realized that all my head knowledge of God and Jesus and salvation was not enough. I needed to make it a heart knowledge. I knew I was a sinner. I knew Jesus was God's Son Who died on the cross for my sins. Finally I understood that besides believing all this I also needed to receive it for myself. I then confessed my sin to the Lord, asked Him to forgive me and save me and take over my life and give me eternal life with Him. I confess I sometimes try and take control back, but I am thankful He never lets go and is always there to pick me up, set me back on the right path, and lead me. I'm thankful salvation is eternal, and that it does not rely on who I am or what I've done, but on Who He is and what He's done.
