Introduction | Well, what you see is what you get. I'm at a point in life where it's not worth the energy to try to maintain illusions - for others or for myself. It looks like some of the some-day-I-will-accomplish-that sorts of things may not come to fruition, but I'm still busy doing work that seems useful, enjoying colleagues and friends, and learning how to do new things with computers. I love it when you comment and introduce yourselves! |
Interests | family and friends, creating access to higher education, teaching religious studies, Quaker spirituality and practice, feminist spirituality, reading sci/fi and fantasy, mythology |
Favorite Movies | Don't watch many. Will add to this if I think of any. |
Favorite Music | Ancient (polyphonic) music - jazz - some New Age, but it can get cloying - some good old rock and roll from the 60s and 70s. Bach. |
Favorite Books | Too many to name - but a little known gem is the trio collected as The Chronicles of Master Li and Number Ten Ox by Barry Hughart. A hoot! The best of children's fantasy is Diana Wynn Jones. Also, the trilogy by Megan Turner (Thief / Queen of Attolia / King of Attolia) is exceptional. |
