| Introduction | My name is Ryan. I recently graduated college with a BA in Economics. After growing tired of the continuous emphasis on static equilibrium analysis and ideal economic conditions found in the textbooks and in my university education, I've decided to read the books that have generated the textbook theories firsthand. Currently I've become impressed with the Austrian approach that focuses on an analysis of the individual and the market processes, rather than ideal equilibrium conditions and abstract mathematical formulas, though this could change as I immerse myself more into the world of economic theory. I'm using this blog to chronicle my intellectual development and understanding of economics (and other subjects) by writing about the books I'm reading and ideas that I find important or influential.
