| Introduction | A dedicated wife, a mother of three, artist, wire sculpture designer and instructor only begins to tell my story. I have been creative and artistic most of my life and can remember a family friend giving me some art supplies for my 8th or 9th birthday. I have not had much formal training in art except for a couple of classes at a community college two years ago. I have been self taught and have learned from others who are artistic. I have also learned from internet sites. God has blessed me with the ability to break things down visually. This means I can see something and figure out how to duplicate it or even change it to make it my own design. I love to paint and have produced wall murals, water colors from photos and even refinished and painted furniture. As a home school mom I found I needed an outlet that would fulfill my creative side but would not take long to produce. Wire wrapping has become my creative outlet and often I can wrap something that others don’t know what to do with. I love making jewelry for my family and friends for special occasions like birthdays and holidays. The love that I have for them shows in my work. I hope you will enjoy my work too. Karen |
