| Introduction | As a young single gal (about a thousand years ago) I dreamt of one day authoring a book. With my background in Elementary Ed. and love for children's literature, perhaps a kids' book? Or as an avid reader and lover of the written word, perhaps a novel? Well, a husband and some kids later who has time to write a book? And as I find myself missing my days of Journaling with pen and paper-bound journal I thought I'd try my hand at this whole blogging thing. The events of my days often seem to provide a good laugh to those Facebook friends I virtually hold dear. And so here I am. You'll have to bear with me as I muddle through it. And what's with the title of my blog? Well, "Mayhem" is in honor of my life in our smallish, early 80s home, with 4 kids (ages infant to pre-tween) and 2 large dogs, "Madness" to honor my fleeting sanity, "Mem'ries" as I shall try to recollect things from my past, and "Musings" as I share my current thoughts, if I don't forget 'em by the time I get to the 'puter. If you care to follow along, it's nice to "see you", and if you don't then, well, you're probably spending your time more wisely :) |
