About me

Introduction My Love recently learned that he had the dreaded "C" word: Cancer. Ironically, Reality hit home; after spending over a decade of my career treating and managing patients with systemic diseases, the fact that someone so precious to me is facing this life challenge is "eye-opening". My dad is a cancer specialist, and I grew up getting to know patients and friends with cancer, and witnessed first hand the war against cancer. Now, I appreciate that dad is a Warrior and Hero in the fight against cancer, and all cancer patients are Heroes. There is definitely success and HOPE. There is Victory. Dad jokes he named me "Victory" as a reminder to him that Victory is THE only option for him in treating his patients and in living life. The notes on these pages are a memoir of sorts of some thoughts of being on the caretaker/friend/family side. When someone you love has Cancer, not only does their world change, so does yours. I believe, God will make something remarkable happen.
