Introduction My name is Jason Anastas. I am a psychology PhD, and current professor of psychology at The University of Connecticut, Hartford campus. I learned about statistics and analytics during my education, and developed a love for sports analytics during my college years. When I first got into sports, I found a distinct lack of explainer style sites for fans who wanted to learn more about rule, tactics, positions, etc. for each of the major sports. Through a lot of time spent searching the net, reading books and writers, I have put together comprehensive knowledge of most of the big sports, especially basketball and soccer. My blogs are dedicated to explaining them for new fans to these sports.
