| Introduction | Born in Belgium, by Greek parents Eirini Matinopoulou has been an artist all her life. Now she is a full time artist based in Greece. She has taken part in exhibitions in Greece and UK. She has studied product design but glass was her favorite material. After travelling and taking glass seminars around the world she went back to Greece and created the Glasscapes Studio.Glasscapes means something dreamy with mood of travelling and it comes from the word landscapes. “My work is an expression of my everyday thoughts and feelings about people, nature and the way the world moves. My inspiration comes from my travels and the sea that I see everyday. I like to work with glass because the transparency and the brightness of the colors when light goes on express me as a person.” |
