Introduction	I live a mile down the road from the rural village of Philomont, Virginia located along Snickersville Turnpike in Western Loudoun County. We have a General Store, circa 1913, and next to the general store is our volunteer fire department. That is the extent of our village. I am sure when you read the word turnpike you immediately envisioned a hugh road like the interstate roads, but Snickersville is a state scenic byway with very narrow and winding roads. I love the name, Snickersville, and it always puts a smile on my face. I'm country raised, but became citified (not sure if that is a word)for many years. I have found my way back to country living.
