Introduction	What to wear during one’s sabbatical? Not remotely a fashion-break but a thorough investigation of my existing and future wardrobe. Life used to be easy clothes wise; as a poor artist in the ’90 I wore overalls, hand-me-downs and anything I could find in the dregs of the sales. After re-training ten years later I had a grown-up’s office job with outfits to match. At home now my office-clobber gives the wrong signals to my brain and sloughing around in joggers makes me feel ill. Clothing has become a complicated matter. To add to this: I am 43, married with a technical engineer and I have two sons (so no help there then!) I am also a great lover of colour and good quality and I have this dreadful fear of looking boring, dowdy or prissy. I started this blog in Dutch but soon realized that the whole fashionbloggercommunity communicates in English. With an English MA to my name (Ceramics, RCA'97) I should be able to string a few words in English together, I thought... (do correct me if I’m wrong)
