Introduction | My journey to becoming a naturalist began as a visitor services intern at the Big Muddy National Fish and Wildlife Refuge. In May 2011, I graduated from Columbia College with a B.A. in environmental studies and began my trek up country following the Mississippi River north to the Minnesota Valley National Wildlife Refuge based out of the twin cities. These stepping stones led me to an Environmental Education and Interpretation internship at the Patuxent Research Refuge National Wildlife Visitor Center. Now, I am in Oregon where I previously led hikes on the Table Rocks for the Bureau of Land Management in Medford, OR and served as the Youth Education Programs Coordinator for the Siskiyou Field Institute in the magical Klamath-Siskiyou Bioregion of Southern Oregon and Northern California. |
