| Introduction | Ever since high school I have been actively involved in service. At Iowa State University I was active in the Christian Appalachian Project. Prior to graduate school I spent time on the US/Mexican border serving and learning about the plight of the immigrant poor. During graduate school I ministered at an AIDS hospice run by the Missionary Sisters of Charity (Mother Teresa's community). These experiences have shaped me and who I have become today. |
