Introduction I knew way back in high school that I wanted to work with children after spending two years as a receptionist at a local ballet studio. I graduated from the University of Houston with a degree in Elementary Education...Go Coogs! I began my teaching career over ten years ago at the amazing Roberts Elementary where I had the privilege of teaching 5th grade, running the Extended Day program, and acting as the Summer School Principal. Throughout the years, I taught dance, drama, and journalism after school and sponsored the student council and yearbook. I was also able to spend several summers at Will Rogers Elementary and Mark Twain Elementary where I taught first, fourth, and fifth grade. I attended Lamar University as well where I earned a Master's Degree in Educational Administration which helped me with my first leadership position as Vanguard Coordinator and then Assistant Principal at Lanier Middle School. Currently, I am the principal at Durham Elementary and I couldn't be happier! In my spare time I love to play with my two dogs, read, paint, dance, and kickbox.
