Introduction I love to write my arts and activism blog here in Kimmyville, sing in my choir, and play my ukulele. Other than that, I'm playing the field. (even if it's Crosley Field ;-)
Interests My true love is the Ukulele...but I am also a writer, singer, piano player, grief counselor, encourager, eternal hippie and political junkie on a quest for a Ky hwy to be called Rosemary Clooney Highway.
Favorite Movies Amadeus, Who's Harry Crumb, Big, The Money Pit, My Own Private Idaho, A River Runs Through It, Casablanca, Streetcar Named Desire, Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory, O Brother, Where Art Thou? (I don't like the scary stuff; that's what neighbors are for ... and frenemies :)
Favorite Music Jar of Hearts is my new favorite song from what's out there today. I like the old stuff, especially Rosemary Clooney, Marian McPartland, Frank Sinatra, Tony Bennett, Linda Ronstadt, Eagles, Beatles, Steve Miller Band, Boston, Gordon Friggin Lightfoot, Ben Folds Five, Journey, Neil Diamond, Mel Torme, Elvis Costello, Dean Martin, Jewell, Glee and of course, the Central Christian Chancel Choir!
Favorite Books The book of James in the New Testament - it's short and it's sweet; read it and weep, Proof (by Dick Francis, not that silly math story, I love all his works, though and may he rest in peace), Hold The Roses (Rose Marie's autobiography, it's unbelievable and I bet you haven't read it), Little Women, Valley of the Dolls, Drum, Angel Unaware, The Wounded Healer, May I Walk You Home?, Siddhartha, Gone With the Wind, Dracula, all Conan-Doyle, Dickens, Hesse, Shaw

You've successfully slain the dragon! How will you toast your marshmallows?

Glorious God, Source of all Joy and Righteousness, Enable us as redeemed and forgiven children evermore to rejoice in singing your praises. Grant that what we sing with our lips, we may believe in our hearts, and what we believe in our hearts, we may practice in our lives, so that by being doers of the Word, and not hearers only, we may receive everlasting life. In Jesus Christ, we pray, Amen.
