| Introduction | I like yarn. Okay, a lot of people like yarn. But, after opening my closet to an avalanche of the stuff, I realized that maybe my collection had grown out of control. This is how it went: Picture me in a store. A yarn store, maybe a craft store, maybe even a yard sale. The yarn appears. I immediately know that it would make the perfect... something. I need it. I immediately forget that I already have impossible amounts of yarn at home, just waiting to be knit. The yarn comes home with me, the pile grows. This is my year of stash busting. That's right, I'm on a yarn diet. 365 days of knitting only from what I have already bought. Begun at the beginning of February, 2009. This is my account of it. |
