Introduction | I've been fascinated by energy economics and politics since I first visited the Navajo coal mine and generating station in Arizona/New Mexico over 20 years ago. My interest in energy issues has since evolved to coincide with my professional pursuit of breaking open energy markets to cleaner, more efficient - and more humane and just - resources. I'm also an avid adventure-seeker, and have traveled a fair bit in Latin America, Southeast Asia, Europe and much of the remaining wilderness in the U.S. I've skied from the summit of Europe's Mont Dolent, mountain biked in Alaska and Laos, climbed sandstone spires in Utah, surfed in Ecuador and Nicaragua, gathered wild edible mushrooms in Colorado and California and fought rapacious methane drilling in the remote wilderness of Wyoming and Montana. Wouldn't change a stroke. |
