| Introduction | I have been gardening in earnest now for about 8 years. My main areas of interest are vegetables and fruit, and I have won the cups for vegetables and most points overall for the last five years at the local annual garden show. Two years ago I was asked to take over as Chairman of Fordham and District Garden Club. Since then we have set up the Sprouts Gardening Club for the children of Fordham Primary School, and the Ready, Steady, Grow! gardening course for beginners, as well as greatly increasing the membership. I have also set up the garden club web site at www.fordhamgardenclub.org.uk and established the club motto of "Gardens and Gardening, Friendship and Fun, Learning and Sharing". My overall aim is to bring the principles embodied in this motto to all ages and abilites within the local community and surrounding area. |
