Jamie In Jerusalem: Opinions, Ideas, and Beer

Location	Jerusalem, Israel
Introduction	I was born and raised in Atlanta, GA until the age of 18 when I decided to explore the great Pacific Northwest. I attended the University of Oregon in Eugene where my soul was reignited and I began my journey towards more observant Judaism. I also met my best friend and husband Ben David during my stint at UO. Always looking for the next horizon, I graduated and moved back East to Boston where I worked at the Israeli Consulate, got married, and learned the true meaning of community. Eager to fulfill my life long dream of living in our Jewish homeland, the Modern, complex, sometimes frustrating, but always fun- State of Israel- Ben and I made Aliyah at the end of 2011. Shortly moving here to Israel I took on my hebrew name, Chaya but have decided to keep the title of the blog exactly how it is because I think it reflects an important part of my identity (and I like alliteration). We now reside in Jerusalem, our holy and eternal capital, and are trying to understand what it means to be a Zionist on site. This blog reflects my experience therein.
