Introduction Having a background in Archaeology and Sociology and passion for experimental archaeology and historic and contemporary foodways, I specialize in the Greek food history and sociology of eating habits. A believer in sharing knowledge, I am recreator of historical banquets (Edible history project) and developer of food events (Edible Narratives: Food as symbol, as metaphor and allegory). I am the author of two books: the "Language of Taste" - a dictionary of Greek Gastronomy (Gourmand award 2012)- and the "Adventure of food in Greece" (under publ. Hestia). I am currently at work on "Fear cuisine: The impact of food crisis and financial crisis on the cooking in Greece". I also blog at History of Greek Food (www.historyofgreekfood.eu). If you'd like to visit me, I will be thrilled! I am the founder and co-organizer of the Symposia of Greek Gastronomy (biennial conference). Here,I indulge my obsession for all aspects of Greek food and drink (www.greekgastronomy.wordpress.com). And I am the Ambassador of Geo routes in Crete (guided tours highlighting cultural heritage and natural resources- http://www.geo-routes.com)
