| Introduction | I am an academic mom of two kids (daughter is 6; son is 11). I'm a tenured professor at an R1 university. I spend a lot of time mulling over (obsessing about?) research, teaching, mommying, saving money, saving time.... In other words, I struggle with the work-life balance. I'll pass along strategies, life philosophies, and maybe some recipes here that have helped me. I'll share my anxieties. And I'll also probably talk a lot about my kids. |
