| Introduction | Once upon a time, I roamed the Earth with just two suitcases in tow. I studied abroad in Amsterdam, taught ESL in South Korea and Vietnam, and wasted a couple of months in Australia painting an ex-boyfriend’s mom’s house. After almost four years abroad, I returned to the US in 2005 with the intention of only staying for two years while I completed a Master’s Degree in Art Education. But life got in the way, and two years quickly turned into seven. I’ve finally dusted off my passport and headed to Belo Horizonte, Brazil in March of 2012. This time, I brought along a bit more than just two suitcases. Follow along as my two little girls learn to survive without macaroni and cheese, and as I try to maintain my sanity as a stay-at-home mom and trailing spouse. |
