Introduction	I am the sports editor of the Temple Daily Telegram. I joined the Telegram as a sports writer in April 1999 and was promoted to sports editor in October 2003. I currently cover Temple High School football and Temple College men's basketball and baseball. I also have covered University of Mary Hardin-Baylor, Belton High School and area high school sports. In 2010 I received Texas Associated Press Managing Editors awards for sports reporting and headline writing. Prior to moving to Temple, I worked for the Austin American-Statesman as a sports correspondent from 1995-99, covering football, basketball, baseball, golf and other high school sports as well as serving as the Southwest Texas State University beat writer in 1998-99. An Austin native, I graduated in 1995 from McCallum High School and played for the Knights' district-champion baseball team as a senior. In May 1999 I graduated from Southwest Texas State (now Texas State) with a degree in print journalism. Aside from work, I enjoy spending time with my wife Glory, son Lance and daughter Claire and also watching sports and playing golf.
