Your people want to make a statue in your honor. What will it be made out of and what victory will it commemorate?
It would be a square of granite cut perfectly square and smooth on 5 sides...the sixth side being rough and showing chisel marks. It would not commemorate a victory, so much as a battle not yet won, the battle of man, as an individual, as well as a society, toward perfection.
