| Introduction | I am a P/J teacher candidate at Brock University. I have a strong passion for teaching that started at the age of 5. Growing up, I was always inspired by my teachers and I looked up to them so much. All their preparation, dedication, and hard work made me realize that I owe them, along with my parents, all my thanks and appreciation for making me who I am today. They taught me to always try my best, no matter what the outcome. The influence they have on me is incredible and has contributed to my interest in the field of teaching – to touch people’s lives. Being enrolled in the teacher education program, I have learned an endless amount of techniques and strategies to ensure that my future students will achieve the best in education. With today’s advancements in technology, there is so much that teachers can offer students to enhance their learning in the classroom. I believe that teaching students in a rich and engaging environment will contribute strongly to student growth and development. In order to ensure that I will fulfill this promise to myself, and to my students, I will teach what I learned from yesterday, what I learned today, and what I will continue to learn tomorrow. |
