My blogs
| Introduction | After retiring in 2014, my husband and I travelled as Canadian snowbirds, volunteering as house and pet sitters. We had our profile on various websites. Sometimes homeowners contact us directly, other times we applied for sits. If you're wondering about the blog title, it's because I am from Wales, which has a population of approximately three sheep to every person (9 million sheep, 3 million people). Growing up in Wales, New Zealand was always the competition for sheep. New Zealand's sheep-to-human ratio recently has apparently dropped from 20:1 to a mere 7:1 (as of 2017); still a lot of sheep! Greg adopted sheep as our logo of choice. He regularly bought stuffed sheep of all sorts and sizes, with the proviso that I was to pass them along when we travelled, sharing them with others when someone crossed our path who needed a cuddle. It was very satisfying to do that. |
