| Introduction | Living in Southeast Louisiana provides lots of inspiration for my paintings and drawings. Working with acrylics on canvas or smooth board. I love painting people and landscapes, I just love painting. I sometimes paint on salvaged wood panels, being in the antique business gives me the opportunity to find a lot of great items for my paintings. My paintings are mix of realism and impression. Some of my smaller paintings are "daily paintings" it gives me a lot of satisfaction to be able to go from drawing to painting and completing the project in a day. When painting people it is a much longer process for me as I may make several sketches before I capture exactly what I want to portray. I love the feel of the brush on the canvas and lose track of time when painting. So much to paint so little time. |
