Introduction	Eng Pua is a signature member of Watercolor Society of North Carolina and currently serve on the Board. He is also a signature member of Pennsylvania Watercolor Society and holds memberships in various national watercolor societies. He was born in Singapore and has resided in North Carolina since 1985. He was trained as a scientist and worked as a software professional for many years before he retired to paint full time. He is an avid kayaker and nature lover. He spent countless hours in the wilderness to be inspired. Detailed and realistic depictions characterize his earlier paintings. His later paintings, however, place emphasis on expressiveness. To him, being able to effectively convey his emotions and feelings about his subjects to the viewer is far more important than just faithfully depicting the details. Many of his paintings are now in private collections in the US, Canada, and Singapore.
