| Introduction | I'm a fit and active, "middle-aged" woman, married to a Canadian. Born in Germany, I immigrated to Canada in my early 20s, traveled to some wonderful parts of the world, studied journalism, and hiked all over the Canadian Rockies. Besides that and more, I am also a cancer survivor. After having been in remission for 12 years, I was diagnosed with Stage IV breast cancer in April 2008. Because conventional medicine alone could not offer me a cure or hope, I have embarked on my own journey of wellness, including diet, life-style changes, naturopathic and medical treatment, prayer and meditation, and numerous complementary therapies and healing modalities. I hope that by sharing my story, I can inspire others to find their own, unique path to health and healing. |
