About me

Location Toronto, Canada
Introduction "Do you know who I used to be?" That's the joke about once-celebrated people who have sunk willingly into anonymity. For those who remember - I made my name in Talk Radio at CHUM in Toronto. My career has included dozens of TV credits, my own TV interview show, several years in theatre - acting, producing, and directing. You have heard me on the radio, read me in the newspaper, seen me on the screen, and enjoyed (?) me on stage. Now, at 80 (as of March 13, 2008) I want to share my life with you and have you share some of yours with me. I have even had the hubris to believe that my view of life after 80 will be of value to others as young as pre-retirement in their 50s. To that end I have written (with former investment counsellor Andrew Bertram) a book titled "Don't Be Blindsided by Retirement." It is still for sale over the internet or at bookstores. These days I stay connected by writing this blog, travelling, and continuing to practice and take piano lessons. I play jazz. My wife would rather I kept it private. I would like to hear from readers. Contact me at lsolway@sympatico.ca
