| Introduction | The H-L Historical Society is dedicated to the discovery, preservation and dissemination of knowledge of the history of the Towns of Hadley and Lake Luzerne in upstate New York. We are located in Warren County in the southern foothills of the Adirondack Mountains with offices in the Kinnear Museum of Local History. The Museum is a Victorian home furnished in the style of the day. Historical artifacts and a permanent exhibit room in the Museum tell about the Hadley-Luzerne area's history in the Southern Adirondacks -- farming, logging, grand hotels, manufacturing, dude ranches, and summer camps. Please visit us soon. Hours: July & August from 11 a.m. - 2 p.m. on Friday and Saturday; October through June, Saturday 12 to 3 p.m. or by appointment. Call us at 518/696-4520 or email at kinnearmuseum@gmail.com NOTE: If your visit is for research purposes, we strongly recommend contacting us via email to set up an appointment. (We are totally staffed by volunteers and rely on their help to assist our visitors.) |
