About me

Location Kansas & Missouri Chapter, Kansas
Introduction When I moved from Canada to the United States a little over 6 years ago, I had no idea just how many crafts I would become involved in. My husband Stephen Sr. found a pattern to the triangular loom & made me my first one, the challenge was on. I can remember doing my first shawl 7 times before I got it right. My 2 year here, Stephen asked if I would demo at Renaissance festival, well my 1 year at the start was a bit nerve racking as where I come from we do not have many big events as big as Ren Fest. I quickly got over being shy and by the time Renaissance festival was over with I found myself teaching a triangular weaving class the following spring. I have been demoing for 5 years & teaching triangular weaving. My husband, Stephen Sr., makes all the toys (looms, chain mail boxes, card weaving looms) for classes which are held through IHEA started by Mr. and Mrs. Mike Nave. I always enjoy class time it is amazing, to see the talents of the women and daughters. Through the mothers we also have been able to start a youth guild as well.
