Mrs. Black's Second Grade Barnyard

Introduction	I have lived in Portland since 1971...however, I was born in California and have lived in Hawaii and Las Vegas, Nevada. You might say I'm a city gal gone country. I have also been in every state except Alaska. I would very much love to go there someday! This is my 30th year of teaching and I STILL have the passion, which I consider to be a blessing after all of these years. I work with an amazing faculty here at J.W. Wiseman and am very proud to be a part of this school. My second grade team is also quite special. Not only are they all 3 very dear friends, but Mrs. Hester is a former second grade student of mine. I can think of no higher compliment than to be working with her after having her as a student. I have a wonderful family that I'm quite proud of. My husband, Howard, was the postmaster here in Portland until he retired as of July 31 2012..and we have just celebrated our 34th wedding anniversary.
