Introduction	I’m Aftab Tamboli, a Product Manager II at Microsoft, based in Hyderabad, working on enterprise-scale products at the intersection of product strategy, compliance, and data security. My work focuses on building reliable, scalable compliance solutions that help organizations manage regulatory and behavioral risk without compromising user experience. I’ve been closely involved in driving complex initiatives that span multiple disciplines—partnering with engineering, design, legal, and operations teams to deliver outcomes that are both technically sound and operationally practical. I have a strong interest in areas such as Data Lifecycle Management, Communication Compliance, and disciplined product execution, particularly in the context of modern collaboration platforms and AI-enabled workflows. I’m especially passionate about translating complex compliance capabilities into clear, usable systems that customers can adopt with confidence. Through this blog, I share insights from the field—covering Microsoft Purview updates, real-world implementation patterns, and lessons learned—with the goal of making enterprise compliance more understandable, actionable, and effective.
