Location | Ipswich, Suffolk, United Kingdom |
Introduction | I used to be a modeller of railways, ships, and figures, but stopped some 20/30 years ago. With retirement in 2012 I've revitalised my interest in wargaming (Featherstone/Grant/Lawford-Young) and am building up forces accordingly, more or less from scratch. A railway is planned, as are assorted model ships. I also have an interest in woodwork, with a large collection of fretwork designs, some going back to the early 20th century. |
Interests | toy soldiers, model railways, model ships, golden age detective fiction, terry pratchett |
Favorite Movies | ealing comedies, The Cruel Sea, Sink The Bismark, Waterloo, Zulu, The Titfeld Thunderbolt, The League of Gentlemen (original version) |
Favorite Music | easy listening classical, Haydn, Albinoni, some Wagner, The Ying Tong Song. |
Favorite Books | anything with print. The Vanished Army. The Pyrates, The Long Banana Skin, The Prisoner of Zenda, Huntingtower. |
