| Introduction | I am exploring how performance heightens philosophical connections between people. I founded Seen Performance (seenperformance.org) with David Morneau and Shana McKay Burns to help define this process through cross-disciplinary collaboration. While earning my MFA in Dance and Technology from The Ohio State University, I developed an approach to creating performance through methodologies borrowed from disciplines outside dance. Early in my training, I studied improvisation at Middlebury College with Penny Campbell, who practices it as a compositional form. This idea influenced me to think about dance beyond the immediate body, which has led directly to crafting audience design as part of my performances. |

I don't bother with having favorite films because of the resulting emotional toil in the decision-making process. Films are important to me. Period. |

| Favorite books | It's been a long time since I thought about this. Without giving it much thought: Vivian Sobchack's "The Address of the Eye", Thomas Hardy, D.H. Lawrence - after that I have to start remembering |
