| Introduction | The Shine Centre is a non-profit organisation that provides literacy and language enrichment to children in Grades Two and Three who are learning English, through volunteer-led tutoring. Shine’s innovative programme is currently delivered at five flagship centres by 300 trained volunteers and has proven success in raising literacy rates at these schools. Through our Outreach Programme we are now taking our methods, materials and expertise to wider audiences and assisting others in setting up their own literacy centres. |
