| Introduction | I am a Mum of two beautiful children. My youngest happens to have Autism, which has shown me a whole new way to live. This blog is about my story, from my point of view. My son, Michael was born in 2000, and was officially diagnosed as High Functioning on the Autism Spectrum Disorders in 2005. This blog won't be written in any particular order, rather I will probably reminisce on random themes, as I so desire. Everything in this blog is of my own experience, and from my own point of view. I have no professional qualifications of any kind regarding Autism or related disorders. I do however have the experience of raising my child, and of observing other children on the spectrum as well. I don't have all the answers regarding Autism, no one does, but everything that can be found out is one step towards a deeper understanding. |
