| Introduction | I sit and watch, grasping the warmth of my coffee cup, as the dark blue sky softly starts to show tinges of golds and ambers. Violets and reds follow until the stars are engulfed in the burning gleam of the morning sun. The colors peer over the mountains peaks and spill out through the fir bows to finally rest amongst the morning fog that lays just above the upper fields. I take a sip, watching the cattle as they amble along the frost covered grass. Grazing on the brilliantly green spring blades. The horses, stand silhouetted in the light. Swishing their tails softly. I let out a deep breath and watch as the steam from it rises into the crisp air. It is moments like this, small, still, quiet moments. That I thank the Lord that he has made me strong enough to forever be….a Cowgirl. |
