Introduction If I could sum up myself in one word it would be eccentric. If you know me personally you know I'm kind of really weird and quirky. I tend to make the best out of every situation. I quote movies and talk in song lyrics frequently. I like to dance in the grocery store while scanning the isles. I don't know why. My son and I make up songs about inanimate objects when we are shopping. Like I said, I'm weird, and embrace it. My pride and joy is my six year old son. He is on the Autism Spectrum and I'm going to use this blog to update family and friends on the crazy happenings in our household. Brock keeps me on my toes. Some days he has me pretend to be a pirate with him and we can only speak in pirate. Somedays we are super heroes and go on adventures in make believe land saving the world. Other days he's completley over stimulated so we stay in and do relaxing excercises like yoga, and meditation. I speak out frequently on Autism, because I think there is a lack of knowledge, and a lot of stigmas out there. I want my son to know and accept its okay to be a little different (not in a bad way) and to embrace and love who he is.
Interests Reading, and writing are my passions. They are very therapeutic for me. I also enjoy using song and dance to help my son learn, as he's a visual thinker. We tend to stop and bust a move frequently.
Favorite Music I love a wide variety of music. I appreciate lyrics that have meaning to them, something you can listen to and relate to a current or past experience. I'm a truck drivers daughter so I do have a soft spot for Ted Nugent..come on what's not to love about the wango tango? I must admit I do like to listen to a bit of pop music and rap when I'm driving. Nothing says things are about to get serious like Christina Aguilera and Pitbull. Currently, Imagine Dragons is what's on repeat.
Favorite Books Like Music I tend to give all books a chance. I'm an avid reader. There's always something new on my ' to read list.' I could spend my days getting lost in a good book. Sometimes its soul cleansing to escape into a different reality for a few hours.

For your birthday, your aunt gave you a maple syrup dispenser shaped like a rooster. Please write her a thank-you note:

Dear Aunt ----, I have spent the last few days wondering why you gave me a maple syrup dispenser shaped like a rooster for my birthday, and then it came to me. The only way I can take out my aggression for all the cocks in my life without going to prison is by slamming all my pent up frustration out on an inanimate object with a smile on my face, while I dish out breakfast.
