| Introduction | My name is Rachel Robertson. I was born and raised in Indonesia but moved to Austin, Texas about 5 years ago. English is my third language so bear with me as I type this blog. Although the results of my quiz said I was "Main Street Republican," my political ideology is closer to: "I'm democrat when I am poor and Republican when I am rich!" I do not have any political influences because neither of my parents believe in politics so in the end, that mindset rubbed off on me. I missed both chances of voting because every time they held the elections, I was overseas! I am currently taking this class because it is a prerequisite to my Major. I hope that from this class, I might start caring a bit more about politics and be more aware of the current events. I ranked a "Philosopher-King" or a 9 out of 10 for the civics quiz. For the current events quiz, I scored 8 out of 11. |
