| Introduction | Giuseppe Cossu is a member Sommelier of A.I.S. (Association of Italian Sommeliers) and a C.S.W. (Certified Specialist of Wine) with the Association of Wine Educators of America. Born and raised in the Island of Sardinia he is the youngest of 10 children. As common in rural Italy, Giuseppe was exposed to his family’s winemaking since he was a child, thus his passion for wine and pairing it with food happened in the most natural way. After studying Arts in Sardinia he moves to Rome where he starts a career in the Hospitality Industry while he cultivates a passion for Jazz studying Percussions. The “Eternal City’s” influence sparks on Giuseppe the desire to become “Cosmopolitan”, and after eight years he decides to move to Los Angeles. Here he manages top Restaurants such “Harry’s Bar” in Century City and in La Jolla, the “Historical” Chianti e Cucina and “Pace”. In 2007 he joined forces with long time friend “Chef” Alberto Lazzarino and opens “Melograno” in Hollywood. He worked for Siena Imports and Southern Wine and Spirits as “Italian Imports Specialist” and currently he’s employed with Chambers & Chambers as Southern California “Imports Specialist”. |
