| Introduction | I live in Oolitic, Indiana, which is a small town in the southcentral part of the state. I teach preschool and do daycare with my mom in the school that she started in our house 25 years ago. I also tutor kids from kindergarten into high school. |
| Interests | I enjoy working with kids, especially preschool aged. I also enjoy spending time with friends, shopping, listening to music, scrapbooking, reading when I have time, and watching and reading about sports. I'm not much of an athlete myself but I enjoy watching basketball, baseball and football, especially college basketball. My favorite teams are Indiana University (IU) basketball and football, the Atlanta Braves, Chicago Cubs, and Indianapolis Colts. I also like to read about Christian athletes, coaches, etc. I think that it's neat to find out about that someone is a Christian, and then follow their career. |
| Favorite movies | My favorite movie of all time would definitely have to be Hoosiers. Being a basketball fan from Indiana, I just love it. I also like Facing the Giants, The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants, To Kill a Mockingbird, One Night with the King, Glory Road, Cars, The Second Chance, Phantom of the Opera, Field of Dreams, Miracle, League of Their Own, Newsies, Sound of Music, Mary Poppins, My Fair Lady, Anne of Green Gables and Anne of Avonlea, Little Women, Three Musketeers, Secondhand Lions, Uptown Girls, The Day After Tomorrow, Signs, Finding Forrester, Sleepless in Seattle, While You Were Sleeping, Rudy, Man From Snowy River, and Return to Snowy River. |
| Favorite music | I like to listen to music, whether it's on the radio, CD, or downloaded from the internet. My favorite music would have to contemporary Christian, especially (in no particular order) FFH, Point of Grace, Michael W. Smith, Steven Curtis Chapman, MercyMe, Big Daddy Weave, Matthew West, Avalon, Casting Crowns, Andrew Peterson, 4Him, Chris Tomlin, Phillips Craig and Dean. Any "praise/worship music" is good too. I also like country music, although I don't really listen to secular country music much at all any more. |
| Favorite books | I'm not really an avid reader, but I do have some books that I like. My favorite books would have to be To Kill a Mockingbird, Little Women, and the Anne of Green Gables series. I had to read To Kill a Mockingbird for a class in high school and it ended up probably being one of my favorit assignments ever. Imagine, an enjoyable book to read for school! I also still enjoy reading the Mandie book series too, which I've been reading since junior high. Whenever a new book is added, I always have to read it. |
