Introduction	Pregnant and Barefoot in the Kitchen... I have heard this phrase quite often in reference to women who believe in the Biblical role of a wife and mother. I always thought it was a funny phrase because I usually wear shoes in the kitchen. I tend to spill a lot on the floor and my feet get dirty if I don't wear shoes. BUT if I could be barefoot in the kitchen while maintaining clean feet I would do it in a heartbeat.
