Introduction | I've been fortunate to have lived a fit and healthy life from when I was a little kid to an adult of about 30. Then I took a sabbatical of about 8 to 9 years where I believed that every day was my birthday and I ate too much, drank too much and didn't exercise a lick! Suffice to say I got really fat. And struggled with life in many ways. By chance one day I got involved with a group called Team in Training (a fundraising arm of the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society) and my life has never been the same since. I met my wife through TNT. I've traveled extensively because of it. I've pushed myself beyond what I thought were my physical and mental boundaries because of it. And now I've achieved a life long goal because of it - I've written my book 52 Simple Steps to a Better Life. The irony of life has reared it's ugly head in recent weeks as my father in law (who was also very involved with LLS) has been diagnosed with a precursor to leukemia. So I'm participating in yet another event to raise funds and awareness and puch my body to its limit. |
Interests | Spending time with my wife Lisa and sons Quinlan (four and a half) and Liam (one), sports of any kind, competing in races (running biking swimming and all three together as a triathlon), reading, writing, travel. |
Favorite Books | Atlas Shrugged, the Stand, any John Irving |
