| Introduction | Born in the Netherlands, this Asian guy has experienced quite a cultural clash throughout his life. Being a naturally very shy and introverted person, he didn’t know quite well what to do with all these differences in people and the way they think. Instead of living a life of ignorance and focussing on a career path to financial freedom, he found that quality of life is ultimately decided by your relationships with the people around you. This is where his pursuit to self-improvement started, ironically by quitting everything in his current lifestyle. And while he met many interesting people on the way, one of them proved to be his most influential friend: Peter Blomsma. It was his idea to take the whole ‘socializing-thing’ to the next level; a two-man world trip with just enough money and equipment to make sure that the basic needs are covered. Apart from his social endeavour, he likes to read books, listen to music, bust out fancy breakdance moves to impress little kids (and girls), read more books, savour Asian seafood dishes, swimming in the ocean, mountain biking and of course hanging out with friends. |
