| Introduction | I am not a writer; I am a lover of words. I don't know a lot of about anything; I do know a little about a lot of things. There are many things I love to do, none of which I have perfected; I am not afraid of jumping in and trying. I am not afraid of failing as long as I get the chance to try again. This is a journal of books, gardens, travels and the people I meet along the way, with a bit of fun in the kitchen sprinkled in. There will be stumbles, but I am pretty good at picking myself up.
