| Introduction | I had been living and working for some time in Kuwait. A few clicks on his blog will quickly reveal when and where that had been. I am not religious but, after 9/11 and in the middle of sort of a clash of civilizations, very interested in religion and, in particular, the culture of Muslim societies. In fact, in war times it might be vital acquiring the necessary knowledge about what separates us. My interests are not confined to special peoples, but I am a humble admirer of the millennia-old Persian civilization and its achievements. This blog covers much of my extensive traveling in the Middle East in particular in the last decade, in particular Iran. |
