| Introduction | Antara: a beautiful, Van de Stadt design 40 footer sail boat, is the first of her kind in the Indian waters. Antara has been certified as an ocean-going yacht and is fully compliant with all safety, navigation and communication requirements. Our Skipper, Dilip completed his solo circumnavigation under sail in 2010, on the INSV Mhadei, and has been instrumental in training the next 7 Indian circumnavigators. He continues to sail post retirement from the Indian Navy. Most recently, he sailed to Greenland and Iceland with Sir Robin Knox-Johnston; the first person ever to sail solo and non-stop around the world. Sailing on Antara gives our guests quality time with Dilip, the typical old salt who loves swapping stories about his adventures, rustling up delicious meals and exchanging notes on sailing. Antara’s First Mate, Sucheta Jadhav, started sailing 6 years ago and crewed in the 2017-18 Clipper Round the World Race.
