Introduction | Paul Rupple I am personally involved in interfaith discussion involving issues such as the existence God, the origin of the universe, the existence of the mind, morality and other fitting topics. I earned a Masters Degree with highest honors in Christian Apologetics from Biola University in 2011. My thesis topic was Consciousness and Intentionality: A review and critique of the views of Daniel C. Dennett and John R. Searle. Thinking Eternally is a blog dedicated to helping us to think about what is important and lasting. The things of this world, although they can be at times exciting, will ultimately pass away. One of the wisest people who ever lived once wrote, "Yet God has made everything beautiful for its own time. He has planted eternity in the human heart, but even so, people cannot see the whole scope of God’s work from beginning to end." (Eccl. 3:11) This man had every earthly thing that we could imagine, and yet in the end said it was all meaningless, chasing after the wind. God has placed a desire in our hearts that only he can fill. That is the pursuit of this blog, to discover that which is eternal. I hope you enjoy it and are challenged by it. |
